Mike Ivanusic (Lead & Backing Vocals, Lead Guitar, Slide Guitar, Keyboards)
Mike has been playing music for over 30 years. Originally from B.C.,he began playing professionally at age 18. He has played across Canada & in Europe and is familiar with many different musical styles. Mike has played in many " cover " bands, has opened for as well has played with some major acts (Doctor Hook to mention one) and has accompanied many idie artists. He was associated with indie artist "Curtis Cowan & Flyer" from Vancouver and is on his current c.d. where he also shares co-song writing credits.
Mike loves to play live and tries to have his audience share in that enjoyment.
Malibu was formed with that mission in mind.
Peter Friesen (Lead & Backing Vocals, Drums, Rhythm Guitar)
Peter began his professional music career singing and playing drums at the age of 12 in his home town of Wpg.. He also teaches drums & percussion & beginner guitar. Peter has played in many " cover bands ", played for many indie artists and has opened for some major acts (Kim Mitchell & April Wine to mention a few).
Having fun playing & playing diverse styles of music are two of Peter's favourate things in life.
Robert (Rob) Boland (Lead & Backing Vocals, 5 String Bass, Mandolin)
Rob has been in music for over 30 years. He started in a country show band & has worked in many other styles of music since. Rob has played in many " cover " bands and has accompanied many indie artists. He loves to play live and entertain even the smallest crowd. When he isn't playing for Malibu, Rob plays bass for dynamic country recording artist, Mark Lorenz.
